Organics update (food waste & green waste) SB 1383
New organics recycling program in Garden Grove!
As required by state law SB 1383, the City of Garden Grove has launched an organics recycling program in partnership with the City's waste hauler, Republic Services. Click the buttons below for more information.
The Law California Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383), requires reductions of organic waste in landfills as part of a greater plan to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants. SB 1383 establishes targets to achieve a 75% reduction by 2025. For more information visit

Yes. Residents of the City of Garden Grove receive up to three (3) bulky item pickups per calendar year. Limit ten (10) items per collection. No building materials or hazardous waste.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING TIPS
Prepare Your Christmas Tree for Recycling by Following these Guidelines:
- Remove tree stand, ornaments, tinsel
- Do NOT place tree in a plastic bag
- Place tree at the curb by 7a.m. on your trash collection day
- Place the tree alongside your containers,not in front of your containers
- Cut your tree in half if it is over six feet tall
- Flocked trees are NOT recyclable and must be treated as trash.
